ACT Mixed Pairs Champions (again!)
Ruth Moore and Ian Armour have successfully defended their ACT Mixed Pairs title. Congratulations on your back-to-back state championships!
ACT No. 3 Pennant Champions
Canberra City's No 3 Men's team has won the 2008 Pennant Championship with a 63-49 win over Tuggeranong after being minor premiers.
Australian Open Representatives
Canberra City congratulates its strong contingent who played in the 2008 Australian Open. Ruth Moore played in the Women's Singles and Pairs, Loretta Gillespie in the Women's Pairs and Triples, Jan Taylor and Ann Streeter in the Women's Triples and Ruth Moore and Ian Armour in the Mixed Pairs. All were attending as ACT Champions in their events.
All recorded wins and performed creditably on the national stage. In particular Ruth Moore and Loretta Gillespie made it through to the round of 16 in the Ladies Pairs. Well done!
